You'll only take 'awesome' from me when you pry it out of my cold, dead hands. I mean, come on, there's a whole extra syllable in 'exemplary'! Who has time for that?
Two extra syllables. You're right. Hmm...How about "Outstanding"? That's only one extra syllable, and you can really shout that one. "Outstanding!"
I enjoy the shock factor of "cool" or "wicked" flanked by "exemplary" or a similarly high brow adjective.
What about 'rad'? It's a bit old school, but I have a soft spot for it.
As long as you can handle the raised eyebrows sure to be thrown your way, Rad is the way to go.
High brow/Eyebrow. There's gotta be a poem in that.
Darn it, David! I do believe that sounds like a challenge. Thank you all, my muse.Syllables competeAs "Exemplary" said in heatIs nothing to compareWhen "Outstanding" rends the air.Yet it flows off of the tongue Sans the post-climatic humOf the old familiar cry. What a "Wicked" phrase to try!And as I raise my brows in jestI must hold tight to my chestNeither "Wicked", "Rad" nor "Sweet"But my most familiar treatTo the chagrin of all my friendsI must say "Awesome" again!
Outstanding!Well done, old girl. Well done.

Syllables compete
As "Exemplary" said in heat
Is nothing to compare
When "Outstanding" rends the air.
Yet it flows off of the tongue
Sans the post-climatic hum
Of the old familiar cry.
What a "Wicked" phrase to try!
And as I raise my brows in jest
I must hold tight to my chest
Neither "Wicked", "Rad" nor "Sweet"
But my most familiar treat
To the chagrin of all my friends
I must say "Awesome" again!
Outstanding!
Well done, old girl. Well done.
